287 - Inglorious Basterds

The Dudes are dropped into France to take on debit with 2009's Inglorious Basterds.  Quentin Tarantino's first Revisionist film tackles the end of World War II, and other than the expected QT style, the movie's best feature is an international cast that gets the majority of the screen time.  It's some of his best work, and it's always great to watch Fascists get taken out with such brutality.

It's thought provoking, entertaining, and delivers a somber message about choices, consequences, and how we react to them. It's also an interesting time capsule of early post-911 New York City. A must watch highly recommended by both Dudes.

The Dudes finish their Summer of Sleaze with 1991's Samurai Cop. This film is legendarily bad in all the right ways. Horrible writing, amateurish acting, bad karate and good boobs. Imagine a Skinemax version of Lethal Weapon written by a ten year old in the late 80s. It's everything you want but nothing you need. Which is why it rules and everyone should own a copy.
